WEEKEND LET DOWN AND BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!!
Spent the weekend in Aiken SC at the South Carolina Ceramic Show and had a great weekend with wonderful friends. Our trip was planned because I was scheduled to pickup my long waited Atlantic Barrel Tree from Backwoods Ceramics and Molds. I originally ordered the mold in 2025 to be picked up at the Georgia Ceramic Show in February 2026, but due to circumstances beyond their control they were not able to get them manufactured in time. While at the Georgia Show Matt told me about the South Carolina and that if I wanted to come to that show I could pick it up there. So plans began to be made for a girls trip to South Carolina. We planned for months, motel reservations made and of course, money saved. Spoke with Backwoods Ceramics several times along with text messages and emails just for updates. Everything confirmed that I was good for pickup of the Barrel tree as late as Wednesday before we were scheduled to leave at 6:00 am on Friday. Excitement built as I was finally going to be able to fill orders of customers that have been waiting for their tree all year.
We get to the Ceramic Show and as the ladies began to shop with all the great vendors that were there, I set out to find Backwoods Ceramics and pay for my molds, get them loaded so I can meet up with my friends.
Well this is where everything when down hill. I find Backwoods booth, so I introduce myself and tell Matt I am there to pickup. What a let down. He said wasn’t able to get the barrel tree loaded. So that meant he wasn’t able to bring it for me to pickup. Disappointment set in. I didn’t even want to shop the rest of the day😢. He asked me if I was going to be going to the next Georgia shop. I told him yes, but I was originally supposed to pick the barrel tree up at the last Georgia show. So I kept the tree on order to be picked up at the next Georgia show. Hopefully everyone that has ordered this tree from me will eventually get. Please be patient! It’s coming!!!!
