Every detail shapes the first impression.
This entryway combines thoughtful tile selections, warm wood tones, and clean lines to create a space that feels welcoming from the moment you walk in. The balance of texture, color, and simplicity gives the design a timeless feel without sacrificing function.

Great spaces do not need to be overdesigned. Sometimes the right materials, paired with intentional craftsmanship, say everything.

Before ➡️ After… and a whole new way to work.

This internal office refresh wasn’t just about updating the look—it was about improving how the space functions day to day. The result is better flow, a more natural collaborative area, and a layout that actually supports the team.

We paired new flooring with a Steelcase Mackinac desk to anchor the space, then layered in comfortable, flexible seating with Coalesse Bob lounge chairs and SitOnIt Seating Cotton chairs. Steelcase cushioned lateral files added smart storage without sacrificing style, while AMQ acoustic panels helped manage sound throughout the space.

To round it out, we incorporated a Steelcase Gesture chair with a headrest for all-day support and West Elm laptop tables to keep the space flexible and adaptable.

Not every carpet tells a story… this one roars. 🐯

We recently completed a residential install featuring a bold tiger stripe carpet for proud Mizzou alumni, and it makes a statement the second you walk in.

This eye-catching design is Sahara in Mali Black by Kane Carpet, delivering both personality and performance.

It’s a great example of how personal style can show up in unexpected ways, even under your feet. School spirit doesn’t have to stay in the closet or on game day.

Meet Pat Marks, our VP at Marathon Building Environments.

He leads our Flooring department, along with Operations and Finances, helping keep projects moving and teams aligned from start to finish.

Outside of work, Pat prefers warmer climates, mountain biking trails, and a good local beer. You’ll often find him at Logboat Brewing Company as a frequent customer.

A strong leader, a steady presence, and someone who knows how to balance work with a little adventure.

Big impact, clean finish.

For this project, Marathon Building Environments partnered with Western Awning to install 40’ and 50’ canvas awnings along the back wall, bringing both function and a sharp, modern look to the space.

Built with a durable 1” x 1” aluminum frame and finished in Sunbrella Slate, these awnings deliver long-lasting performance with a sleek, cohesive design.

🏀 That’s a wrap on March Madness 🏀

While Missouri didn’t make it all the way this year, we still had a great time cheering them on all season long. From buzzer-beaters to bracket busters, it’s been a fun ride.

And let’s be honest… watching it all unfold from the new courtside club made it even better. 👀

Great games, great energy, and even better spaces to experience it all.
