Friends! We've been cooking up some more projects over at !
For a long time now I've been reading, writing, and studying on the subject of our memory. I've seen how forgetful of a people we are, and I've seen how our gracious Father provides for that very limitation.
In his graciousness, he has met us in our need and provided a means to prop up and support our faith (as John Calvin once wrote). One of the ways he does this is through the sacrament of baptism.
When was the last time you thought of yours? When was the last time it spurred you on to hope and assurance? When was the last time you encouraged someone else by reminding a friend of what their baptism meant?
Calvin wrote that the sacrament of baptism "does not so much confirm his word as establish us in the faith of it."
In an effort to use the tools the Lord has provided to establish our faith, my husband and I have created some pieces of art meant to do just that.
These hand-crafted pieces of art feature a foamy, resin wave that will draw you to remember the reality that just like Noah in the flood- and the Israelites through the Red Sea- you have been drawn through the waters from death to life.
If you're looking for a unique Christmas gift, a gift to commemorate a baptism, or you want the reminder for your own home check out our shop page at: https://lookingtotheharvest.com/thesheepfoldco/.
We have various options from our three-piece set, single sign, or an ornament. Personalization options are available as well to write names and/or dates on the pieces.
No matter what, let's remember our baptism and the glorious reality it points to.
