I throw my gourd ‘guts’ on the side of the hill behind our garage to see what might happen. It appears the deer don’t like the plants and I haven’t seen anything eat the seeds. Maybe next year I’ll plant earlier to see if I can grow a gourd or two!🤔 I am not sure we have the climate for them.

I’m taking a break from gourds for a few days while my grandson visits.❣️We spent one day with him in Yellowstone National Park. He was the photographer. Every where was inspiration for a future gourd!😊

This one is just about done. I painted with ink dye, gave it a spray with acrylic UV resistant matte clear coat and now will touch up the cut outs with black ink dye (the clear coat keeps the black ink dye from absorbing if I should get any on my art work it wipes off.) using a felt tip applicator and give it another spray of clear coat and it will be done! I love these colors!🍁
