Every room deserves a good cover story.

At The Fitzgerald, an exuberant collage of vintage Vogue covers brings decades of fashion, illustration, and personality into one beautifully unconventional bedroom.

And while the walls are anything but shy, the furnishings know the value of restraint. A vertically channeled velvet headboard, quilted textures, powder-blue layers, and subtle brass accents create a softer counterpoint to all that editorial energy.

It’s a little unexpected, wonderfully nostalgic, and proof that a room can have quite a lot to say without ever feeling loud.

After all, who needs framed artwork when the wall itself is this well-dressed?

The art of a beautifully finished room? Knowing exactly when to stop decorating and start living.

A sculptural botanical resting on a stack of books. A fiddle-leaf fig lending a little wildness to the clean lines of a white dresser. Subtle brass accents, cut crystal, and a copper cocktail shaker making a rather convincing case for staying in.

These are the details we love most. Thoughtfully collected, deliberately composed, but never so precious that they can’t be enjoyed.

Because a truly beautiful interior shouldn’t just be admired. It should make the everyday feel like something worth celebrating.

The architecture may be quiet. The interior doesn’t have to be.

A saturated blue swivel chair gives the room its punctuation. Blackened finishes add weight. Brass catches the light in just a few deliberate places. And an elongated upholstered bench beneath the window stretches the living space beyond the expected sofa-and-chair arrangement.

Even the sightlines are doing work here — from the sculptural forms on the credenza, through the living room, into the dining nook and kitchen beyond. Nothing competes for attention, but nothing feels accidental either.

That balance is often where good multifamily design lives: knowing exactly where to make a statement — and where to let the room breathe.

A room this restrained has nowhere to hide.

Every line has to earn its place.

Here, a graphic wallcovering stretches across the architecture like a continuous sketch—bold enough to define the room, quiet enough to let everything else breathe. Matte-black millwork nearly disappears against the baseboard, while warm wood underfoot keeps the black, white and gray palette from ever feeling cold.

Then come the interruptions: a monumental floor mirror casually leaned against the wall, sculptural bronze reliefs hung in a disciplined grid, the softness of an olive tree, woven chair backs, an oversized plaster vessel, and that beautifully angular chandelier overhead.

Nothing is fighting for attention. But nothing is accidental, either.

That tension—between graphic and organic, polished and tactile, architectural and slightly unexpected—is where a neutral room becomes memorable.

Three flights of stairs should earn you something.

In this condo, the reward is waiting at the landing: a jewel-box bar tucked neatly into an architectural niche, proving that the smallest moments in a home can carry some of the biggest personality.

The palette is intentionally restrained—inky black cabinetry, crisp white stone, warm brass and a graphic dimensional marble mosaic—but the composition has just enough mischief. Glass-front uppers keep the cabinetry visually light, the unlacquered-look brass punctuates the black like jewelry, and that backsplash refuses to simply behave in the background. Even the w**e refrigerator feels integrated rather than added on.

And just beyond it, the black steel railing and cascading glass globe pendants continue the same conversation: strong geometry softened by a little sparkle.

Because after three flights of stairs, “welcome home” should probably come with a corkscrew.

Good design knows when to play.

A game room doesn’t have to read like a game room.

Here, an oversized abstract wall treatment becomes the art—layering washes of slate blue, charcoal, warm ochre and metallic gold behind a custom shuffleboard table. Saturated cognac seating pulls those warmer tones forward, while the natural wood keeps the space grounded and inviting.

The result feels playful without being themed, bold without being busy, and sophisticated enough that you might stay long after the game is over.

Because the best amenity spaces aren’t just filled with things to do. They’re designed to make you want to be there.

Sometimes the wall IS the art.

In this living space, the oversized abstract wall treatment does the work a gallery wall never could—creating movement, depth and just enough drama to anchor the entire room.

Its layered charcoal, soft gray and washed neutral tones set the palette, while the furnishings stay intentionally quiet: a pale upholstered sofa, sculptural black accents, warm wood grain and a restrained hit of blue-green. Nothing competes for attention. Everything supports the composition.

That’s the difference between decorating a room and designing one—the strongest statement doesn’t always have to be something you hang on the wall. Sometimes, it is the wall.

The best neutral rooms aren’t actually neutral.

They’re built on contrast, proportion, and restraint. Here, the quiet upholstery gives the room room to breathe, while the saturated blue chair pulls the eye off-center and keeps the composition from feeling predictable. The black frames sharpen the wall without overwhelming it, the sculptural tables introduce weight and curve, and the greenery softens every hard edge around them.

Nothing is matching for the sake of matching—and that’s exactly why it feels so considered.

Proof that soft and subtle can still make a statement.

This bedroom leans into a quiet palette, but it’s anything but flat. From the channel-tufted bed to the sculptural lamps and grounding dark nightstands, every piece adds texture, contrast, and calm. The result is a space that feels polished, restful, and effortlessly inviting.

Sometimes great design isn’t about adding more. It’s about choosing the right details and letting them speak.

Who says a small space can’t feel cozy, comfortable and completely inviting?

Warm wood tones, soft upholstery and a simple neutral palette make this compact open-concept home feel intentional without making it feel crowded. Even the dining nook gets its own moment—tucked neatly into the layout, but still connected to the kitchen and living space.

Small footprint. Plenty of personality.
