We have been working our way through this wonderful old home with a bit of a “shot gun” layout. Stepping from the dining room into the kitchen, you get a feel for its simplicity. The space is modest so it really needed a less-is-more approach. We opted for a mostly classic design with hints of modern for a very balanced feel.

The rooms in this wonderful old home line up beautifully on the left and right sides with a kind of “dog-trot” hallway separating them. As you move from the living room you step into the dining room. It’s perfectly sized for a round table offering the best conversation format. The furnishings, all antiques and finds, were refinished and repurposed for entertaining beautifully.

The design is washed with natural materials on the mirrors, lighting, and window treatments. It offers a calm retreat after a chaotic day.

This home in Columbus' historic district was a to-the-studs remodel. While we loved working on the whole project, the master bedroom has to be our favorite.
