Father.... I will find time.....

I am sorry, but you just don't see

there's so much that depends on me. ` ·· if

There's family, friends and so much more

my time's not mine, not anymore.

It isn't that I don't want to find

that part of my day, that special time

to spend with you and let you know

how much I really love you so.

But there will be time. I know there will

when quiet will come and things are still.

When I can sit and talk with you,

believe me, that's what I want to do.

But, the phone is ringing, my beeper sounds

the children wait and car keys must be found.

I've heard about you all my life

and talk to you when I'm filled with strife.

I think you heard me, for things did work out.

Did I forget to thank you, as I ran about?

But you know I love you. I know you do.

And when I find time, I'll talk with you.

Tomorrow yes, that's when it'll be.

My time's just not my own, you see.

But I'll find time to sit with you

and if things work out that's what I'll do.

I love you. Please remember that.

But, right now I don't have time to chat.

I Love you. Bye. Take care until I

Find that time...I know I will.

Mustard Seed Faith

One day a 6-year-old girl was sitting in the classroom.

The teacher was going to explain evolution to the children.

The teacher asked a little boy:

Teacher: Tommy do you see the tree outside?

Tommy: Yes.

Teacher: Tommy, do you see the grass outside?

Tommy: Yes.

Teacher: Go outside and look up and see if you can see the sky.

Tommy: OK. (He returned a few minutes later) Yes, I saw the sky.

Teacher: Did you see God?

Tommy: No.

Teacher: That’s my point. We can't see God because he isn’t there, he doesn't exist.

A little girl spoke up and wanted to ask the boy some questions.

Teacher agreed and she asked the boy:

Little Girl: Tommy, do you see the tree outside?

Tommy: Yes.

Little girl: Tommy do you see the grass outside?

Tommy: Yessssss (getting tired of the questions by this time)

Little girl: Did you see the sky?

Tommy: Yessssss

Little Girl: Tommy, do you see the teacher? ,

Tommy: Yes

Little Girl: Do you see her brain?

Tommy: No

Little Girl: Does that mean she doesn’t have one?

The Trouble Tree

The carpenter I hired to help me restore an old farmhouse had just finished a rough first day on the job. A flat tire made him lose an hour of work, his electric saw quit, and now his ancient pickup truck refused to start.

While I drove him home, he sat in stony silence. On arriving, he invited me in to meet his family. As we walked toward the front door, he paused briefly at a small tree, touching tips of the branches with both hands. When opening the door, he underwent an amazing transformation. His tanned face was wreathed in smiles and he hugged his two small children and gave his wife a kiss.

Afterward he walked me to the car. We passed the tree and my curiosity got the better of me. I asked him about what I had seen him do earlier. Oh, that's my trouble tree," he replied. "I know I can't help having troubles on the job, but one thing's for sure, troubles don't belong in the house with my wife and the children. So I just hang them up on the tree every night when I come home. Then in the morning I pick them up again."

"Funny thing is," he smiled, "when I come out in the morning to pick 'em up, there ain't nearly as many as I remember hanging up the night before."

When I Say I Am A Christian

When I say, "I am a Christian," I'm not shouting, "I am saved!" I'm whispering, "I get lost; That is why I chose this way."

When I say, "I am a Christian," I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble And need Someone to be my Guide.

When I say, "I am a Christian," I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak, And pray for strength to carry on.

When I say, "I am a Christian," I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed And cannot ever pay the debt.

When I say, "I am a Christian," I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are all too visible, But God believes I'm worth it.

When I say, "I am a Christian," I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, Which is why I speak His name.

When I say, "I am a Christian," I do not wish to judge. I have no authority; I only know I'm loved.

Have a blessed day in JESUS..

The Freedom of Sacrifice

When Abraham gave Isaac

Upon the altar there

A sacrifice, the depth of which

His soul could scarcely bear

He wrestled long into the night

ln agony of soul

How could he give his precious son

And trust God keeps him whole.

He agonized and wrestled

Until he realized

That Isaac had become THE one

The one that he most prized

And then in deep repentance

and agony of soul

He called on God's forgiveness

And gave Him back the whole.

He cried "Forgive me Father

l never realized

That l had made young Isaac

An idol in my life

I give him Lord into Your hands

I love him so much Lord,

But, Oh I need to love you more

And trust you at your Word."

And God returned to Abraham

The son he dearly loved

But ne'er again did Isaac

Take the place reserved for God.

And so to each of us it seems

There comes this very test

Will we surrender loved ones

And in His promise rest?

The battle oft is long and hard

We agonize and weep,

It's not that we're not willing

It's just that love's so deep

We build an altar

Hoping still that God will intervene

And then at last abandon

Every hope and dream.

We lay them down with trembling heart

We feel 'twill never mend

And pray "God let the tire fall

I’ll trust You to the end

For there is no—one else to trust

No other voice but Thine

And so, I give completely

All once I thought was mine."

The Way Home

Steve Reinhard tells a heartwarming story about a little girl who walked home from school every day. The quickest way home for her was through the town's cemetery. It was her favorite time of day. She

loved to feel the breeze in her hair and to watch the birds. Sometimes she just threw herself on the soft, green grass and watched clouds turn into castles and angels and great white stallions. As she skipped

around grave stones, she whistled her favorite tune or sang a song. Other times, she liked to kneel down and read the names and dates on gravestones, and to glide her fingers across the engraved lettering.

She particularly enjoyed those walks through the graveyard.

Still, her friends asked, "Why do you walk through the cemetery after school?"

That's easy, she would always reply. "Because it's the way home."

In an ultimate sense, that is true, isn't it? The way home is always through the cemetery. And it does not have to be a fearful passage at all, this way that leads home. It is a trip we can actually look forward to with joy.

Which is good to know, especially when we're holding the hand of one who is about to make the voyage. Or when we are ready to go ourselves.

5 Sponges

There are 5 sponges lying on your kitchen countertop. Each member of your family has been cleaning up different areas of your home, but the sponges all look the same. You are curious as to what

You squeeze each sponge to see what comes out. As you squeeze the first sponge, you see that cola comes out, and so you decide that someone cleaned the kitchen with that one.

Upon squeezing the second sponge, you find tub and tile cleaner, that one was used to clean the bathroom.

Next, in the third sponge, you find motor oil — hubby was cleaning the garage!

In the fourth sponge, baby powder puffs out when it is squeezed —yep, the baby's nursery was done with that one!

And finally, in the last one, is floor wax — that was the one you used on the hall floor!

As you lay the last one down, you look again at their similarity -and they all look the same until they're squeezed. Christians are the same way. As life squeezes us, different things come out — anger from one, a need for revenge from another, tears from one, remorse from yet another — also greed, untruth, lust — and finally, from one saint, pours forth the love of Christ.

Just like the sponge, we can only squeeze out what is put in — stay in the Word daily, and be in continuous prayer, so that when life puts the squeeze on you (and it WILL), Jesus and Jesus ALONE will shine forth from you!

Have a blessed, squeaky clean day!

Almighty God

On a Saturday night several weeks ago, this pastor was working late at Almighty God Tabernacle, his church, and decided to call his wife before he left for home. It was about 10:00 PM, but his wife didn't answer the phone. The pastor let it ring many times. He thought it was odd that she didn't answer, but decided to wrap up a few things and try again in a few minutes. When he tried again she answered right away. He asked her why she hadn't answered before, and she said that it hadn't rung at their house. They brushed it off as a fluke and went on their merry ways.

The following Monday, the pastor received a call at the church office, which was the phone that he'd used that Saturday night. The man that he spoke with wanted to know why he'd called on Saturday night. The pastor couldn't figure out what the guy was talking about. Then the guy said, "It rang and rang, but I didn't answer." The pastor remembered the mishap and apologized for disturbing him, explaining that he'd intended to call his wife. The man said, "That's OK. Let me tell you my story. You see, I was planning to commit su***de on Saturday night, but before I did, I prayed, "God, if you're there, and you don't want me to do this, give me a sign now." At that point my phone started to ring. I looked at the caller ID, and it said, 'Almighty God'. I was afraid to answer."

Prayer Time

Please take a moment to relax your mind and humble your heart to focus on Christ. Allow God, to be the only person on your mind while you read this prayer. If we can take the time to read long jokes, stories, etc., we should give the same respect to this prayer. Friends that pray together, stay together. Let's pray...

Dear Lord,

I thank You for this day. I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning. I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me.

Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you. I ask now for Your forgiveness. Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.

Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things. Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over. Let me continue to see sin through God's eyes and acknowledge it as evil. And when I sin, let me repent, and confess with my mouth my wrongdoing, and receive the forgiveness of God.

And when this world closes in on me, let me remember Jesus' example-to slip away and find a quiet place to pray. It's the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits. I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do Your will. Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak. Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others.

I pray for those that are lost and can't find their way. I pray for those that are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don't know You intimately. I pray for those that will delete this without sharing it with others. I pray for those that don't believe. But I thank you that I believe.

I believe that God changes people and God changes things.

I pray for all my sisters and brothers. For each and every family member in their households. I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes that they are out of debt and all their needs are met. I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God. Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight. I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees them and every mouth that confesses them willingly.

This is my prayer. In Jesus' Name, Amen

The Eyes Of A Carpenter

Mother's father worked as a carpenter. On this particular day, he was building some crates for the clothes his church was sending to some orphanage in China. On his way home, he reached into his shirt pocket to find his glasses, but they were gone. When he mentally replayed his earlier actions, he realized what happened; the glasses had slipped out of his pocket unnoticed and fallen into one of the crates, which he had nailed shut. His brand new glasses were heading for China! The Great Depression was at its height and Grandpa had six children. He had spent $20 for those glasses that very morning. He was upset by the thought of having to buy another pair. "It's not fair," he told God as he drove home in frustration. "I've been very faithful in giving of my time and money to your work, and now this."

Several months later, the director of the orphanage was on furlough in the United States. He wanted to visit all the churches that supported him in China, so he came to speak one Sunday at my grandfather's small church in Chicago. The missionary began by thanking the people for their faithfulness in supporting the orphanage. "But most of all," he said, "I must thank you for the glasses you sent last year. You see, the Communists had just swept through the orphanage, destroying everything, including my glasses. I was desperate. Even if I had the money, there was simply no way of replacing those glasses. Along with not being able to see well, I experienced headaches every day, so my coworkers and I were much in prayer about this. Then your crates arrived. When my staff removed the covers, they found a pair of glasses lying on top."

The missionary paused long enough to let his words sink in. Then, still gripped with the wonder of it all, he continued: "Folks, when I tried on the glasses, it was as though they had been custom-made just for me! I want to thank you for being a part of that." The people listened, happy for the miraculous glasses. But the missionary surely must have confused their church with another, they thought. There were no glasses on their list of items to be sent overseas. But sitting quietly in the back, with tears streaming down his face, an ordinary carpenter realized the Master Carpenter had used him in an extraordinary way.
