Family and Christmas photo season is almost here.

November is a great time to book. The fall color usually hangs on into the month, the sun sets earlier so golden hour happens before dinner and bedtime, and you’ll have your photos in time for holiday cards.

Who am I Wednesday.

I’m a mom to Nick and Kurt, a wife to Mike, a daughter, and a granddaughter. I work full time, I work part time, and I help run our business on top of that.

At home I’m also a dog mom to Sam and Penny and a dragon mom to Cooper. It is never quiet in our house with the three of them.

Give me a trail, a road trip, or a weekend with my family and my camera and I will have a smile on my face. That’s who I am.

Throwback Thursday - August 6, 2017 - We took the boys to DuPont State Recreational Forest, and this is the day photography got me. I didn't have a fancy camera, just one good enough to show me I could make something worth keeping. Nine years later, I'm still chasing that feeling.

I can’t believe October is right around the corner! All I can think about is apples, pumpkins, hayrides, crisp fall days, and ALL the fall colors! 🍂📸

Fall is one of my favorite times of year for sessions, and October is the perfect time to get those updated family photos, senior portraits, or couples sessions.

Grandparents Day has me thinking about the people who shaped me, and now shape my boys too.

My boys have been blessed with so many grandparents in their lives from the moment they were born.

Grandma Tootie, you are one in a million and we are so lucky to have you.

Mom and Dad, there are not enough words to thank you for all that you do.

Papa Hugh, I wish we were closer and could see you more than once a year, but I appreciate you and am so glad the boys have you in their lives.

And to the ones we've lost, you're not gone from this. I still feel you in the small moments, and we miss you every day.
