Clean out is moving along - I still have a few cabinets and carts - if interested stop by. Everything is moving - I'm sure you'll notice the changes. Still lots of stained glass sheets but the pretty stuff is going fast. Good prices, motivated seller and, yes, I love you all! Some student work to share with you all.

I'll have, cucumbers, beans and baskets of cherry tomatoes today, also the last of my blackberries.. Had to let the eightball zucchini go (you just weren't eating them fast enough) these are like soccer balls. These will go back to the earth, nothing worse than an over ripe zucchini. More next week! Romas are coming if they don't get blighted as they so often do this time of year. Lots of pumpkins also. Just wanted to share everything with all of you!

This may look like a bouquet of purple flowers, but it is actually a cluster of amethyst from Uruguay. 🌸

The country is known for producing amethyst with especially deep, saturated violet color, much of it coming from the Artigas Department in the north of the country. The crystals commonly form inside cavities in ancient basalt, the volcanic rock left behind by lava flows millions of years ago.

Uruguayan amethyst often grows in dense groups of relatively small, sharply pointed crystals, which can give specimens a rich, velvety appearance from a distance. 💜

Many pieces are found inside geodes, where layers of agate or chalcedony may sit beneath the purple quartz. The Los Catalanes area of Artigas is particularly famous for large amethyst-bearing geodes, some reaching several meters in size.
