Next project already in the works: I am making a multi-stage whole home water filter to remove sediment and chlorine. I will tap into my supply line running up the wall (water lines run through attic under insulation in South Texas).

I am adding in pressure gauges to monitor pressure drop and filter performance, include shutoff and bypass valves, every angle is a 45* or long sweep 90* at 1" to minimize flow/pressure impacts.

I have limited space in my garage because we park 2 cars and I have a full workshop with tons of tools. Please disregard the saw dust from my last project on the lathe. I only had to remove storage for a few less used clamps to have enough wall space for this setup.

More pictures to follow. I have ordered all parts and will install next week after finishing up my kitchen buffet cabinet build.

Total cost in parts (not including filters) is ~$400 but this would be less if I didn't want clear filter housings to monitor buildup. Filters average about $13-15 each and I'd have to change out 2 of them every 3-6 months supposedly.

Now that I've figured out all the details and found parts, the good news is this is very marketable and relatively easy to build as assemblies for install at my neighbors who may want it.

Current project update. This is a buffet cabinet and/or appliance garage for our kitchen. It will have built in power and hold all the appliances that take up too much kitchen countertop and cabinet space. (I.E. coffee, crock pot, instant pot, blender, etc.)

I made it out of all the scrap wood left over from the winery desks (3/4" oak plywood, and solid oak for molding). Only had to buy electrical plugs and the 1/4" plywood back.

Bottom will be painted trim gloss white, and top with cove molding will be java gel stain and polycrylic finish. This color scheme is to not clash with the rest of the kitchen. While using oak for painted surfaces is a waste, it was left over and didn't cost me anything which is always a bonus with this inflation/recession.
