Harting Homesteaders has always been about getting “Back to the Basics” — embracing simple living, supporting local, creating handmade products, and building a life rooted in faith, family, and community.

What started as a small passion has grown into something much bigger than I ever imagined, and I’m incredibly thankful for every person who has supported me along the way. Whether you’ve shopped with me, shared a post, stopped into the store, or simply offered encouragement, your support means more than you know. Small businesses truly thrive because of community support.

Happy World Bee Day! 🐝 🍯

Today we celebrate one of God’s most incredible little creations — the honeybee. Bees do so much more than make honey. Right here in our area, they help pollinate the crops and flowers that surround us every day. From soybean fields, gardens, pumpkins, fruit trees, clover fields, wildflowers and so much more… our local bees play a huge role in helping things grow.

Nearly 1 out of every 3 bites of food we eat depends on pollinators. These tiny workers spend their days helping our farms thrive, supporting wildlife, and keeping our countryside beautiful.

So today, take a moment to appreciate the buzz happening all around us. Plant some flowers, leave a few dandelions, support local beekeepers, and thank the little pollinators working hard behind the scenes.
