Some of the most important details in a workspace are built into the system itself. For today’s Behind the Build, we’re taking a closer look at how power, data, and cable management can be integrated directly into the workspace through powered raceways.

Our Sapphire Wall System, Sapphire Cubicle System, and Emerald Cubicle System can all incorporate powered raceways, giving designers and teams a way to integrate electrical and data access directly into the system.

Inside the raceway, electrical and data infrastructure can be routed along the base of the panels and brought directly to individual work areas. Accessible raceway covers provide access to the components inside while keeping the finished workspace organized and streamlined.

Configurations can be tailored to the needs of the project. Standard outlets, dedicated power, CAT 6 connections, USB, and different combinations can be incorporated based on the specifications of the workspace.

While the raceway design and finish can vary between our Sapphire and Emerald systems, the goal remains the same: bring connectivity exactly where the workplace needs it.

It’s one of those details that may sit quietly in the background, but it plays an important role in creating a connected, functional workplace. As we love to say - great workplace design considers the finished space and everything working behind it.
