Here is a great piece that's now available at Rusty Gold Antiques!

This is not in our display case, to show off it's full glory, we had to hang it up. It's in plain view if you're looking through our display case full of military and just turn around!

For those of you who don't know what this is, this is called a Son in Service banner.

Most of these banners were personal ones with 1, 2, or a few stars on it, signifying that the family in that house had part of their family fighting. Most of these stars were blue.

If there was a yellow star, then that signifies that the family lost a family member in the war.

These are much more difficult to find. This is called a community Son in Service banner. It has 22 stars and is in a not often seen triangle banner shape.

This is a beautiful and not easy to find piece that would be welcomed into any military collector's collection!

A good day to all!

Let's start this week with another item that, as far as I know (lol), is still available in our booth at Small Town Shoppes! I love these old smokers for beekeeping. This one, to me, is especially cool since it still has the markings on the wood that makes up the bellows!

Good morning antique hunters and collectors!

I mentioned recently that we were going to bring more items down to the booth at Small Town Shoppes today but, because of a family issue, we will need to push this off until tomorrow.

To those who just found us, welcome!

Although Savage Uniques has been around for a bit, we pretty much put it into hibernation for a couple years. We are back though and shifting towards more of the antiques, primitives, and collectibles than the nick nack type of things we dealt with in the past.

We will be updating our Small Town Shoppes booth frequently and the Rusty Gold booth about 1-2 times a month (acquisition of military history is much more difficult..go figure lol).

We hope y'all find what you're looking for and, with some patience as we get things reworked, it's going to be a great year full of old stuff!

Good morning everyone!

We are officially back and aren't going anywhere (at least out of state, gotta love lake days!) all summer so we will be hunting, scrounging, and buying up as much in the way of collectibles and antiques as we can to fill up this evolving booth!

We dropped by Tuesday to add more collectibles and militaria. Unfortunately, I lost the pictures I took of the booth to show the updates.

I DO, however, have some older pics. There's a couple that even have current inventory!

Next shelf is a fantastic array of WWII ordnance shells! All are inert and clearly marked on the bottom.

Good morning y'all!

It is WAY overdue to say hi and welcome everyone to the new Savage Uniques page!

The original booth was not in a good location (address wise) for us so we decided to shut it down. Recently, we decided to get it started back up again! We started with the same things that were in the old booth but swapping out items for more antiques and collectibles as well as historic military items.

So far so good! There's still more to be added and swapped out so it's looking better and better! Over the next couple weeks, I'll be going shelf by shelf, showing what we have.

As we add more items, I will also show y'all what we've added so you can rush down and grab it up!
