This is why I thrift.

This is the back room at my very small thrift store.

I take donations in small amounts most of the time. Sometimes I will clean out houses for people who just need help getting things out. Either way, there is always so much stuff back here waiting to be sorted through.

I think about how much more stuff is being made every single day. So much of it cheap, not made to last. We live in a world of convenience, fast fashion, fast everything.. but there is so much already here.

We can reuse things. We can fix things. We can make something old work again. We can simply find something unique and different.

There is something really satisfying about finding the thing you wanted or needed out in the wild and giving it another life instead of buying something brand new.

This is why I thrift.

All that being said, I’ll be sorting as much of this room as I can while we are open today. Come see what finds you on this dreary Wednesday at Moody’s Thrift Store ❤️
