Just so you know, these are a pair of mercury glass vases. It is clear blown glass with powdered mercury blown inside the double wall of thin glass to give the appearance of pure silver. In its day it was called "Poor Man's Silver". Many activists have tried to get rid of this art and have already been successful in destroying mercurial barometers and furnace thermostats. These particular vases have been painted on the outside with a pattern in yellow.

😺 Returned from Florida for good on July 2nd and still recovering from a broken arm. 🙀 I had expected to be able to clean up the dust and debris in the old barn and make it possible to have people in to shop and maybe to buy. So, with that said, here's an record player I have that needs electrical care but it is for sale. 😄

At one time I had a whole collection of these Francoma mugs and sold them all. The donkeys were marked DEM and the elephants marked GOP. There were some that were produced for particular election years and possibly used for fundraising. There was one made as late as 2025 marked Harris / Walz.

This is a classic spittoon commonly used by to***co chewers in olden days. Yes, the comment YUCK is in order. This one was made by Bennington Pottery of Bennington, Vermont. This company used that style of glaze that would kind of disguise any misses. The Bennington Museum in Bennington, Vermont, houses the world's largest public collection of 19th-century Bennington Pottery. The collection, housed in the Bennington Pottery Gallery and Study Center, includes extensive displays of stoneware, redware, yellow ware, and specialized ceramics like "Rockingham" mottled-glaze ware and "Parian" porcelain.
While the Bennington Museum is the primary location for viewing historical pottery, the modern commercial manufacturer Bennington Potters (founded in 1948) previously offered factory tours and retail stores in Bennington and Burlington.
