Position Responsibilities
• Provide showroom coverage for walk in, call in, and electronic traffic generated by advertising
• Qualify Customers through active listening and questioning
• Complete proposals for client homes to offer excellent solutions that optimize and manage the sources of data streaming into a home or office, audio and video distribution systems, lighting, security/surveillance/access control systems. A thorough and accurate proposal is crucial.
• Negotiate proposal terms with clients and communicate terms to other involved trades
• Properly manage client expectations through the life of the project
• Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure contracted product specifications are executed on-time and as agreed
• Work cohesively and promptly with AZ location support staff on any questions or follow up they need to help move project down the line towards completion and final payment
• Be a subject matter expert on our home tech, and remain up-to-date on industry news
• Maintain a positive, courteous and polite demeanor with customers and co-workers
• Demonstrate a high level of product knowledge
• Follow established telephone etiquette and phone procedures
• Communicate with co-workers, clients, industry partners promptly and professionally
• Conduct demonstrations of equipment for potential clients
• Maintain an organized, clean, and well-functioning showroom
• Adhere to general store and corporate policies and procedures to include: dress code, opening and closing time procedures, daily duties, etc.
• Other office assistance such as accepting product deliveries, product staging, customer payments, etc. as needed
• Special Projects as Assigned
Essential Skills and Experience
• High School Diploma/GED
• 2-3 years minimum of system design retail experience and/or customer service experience in home theater, automation, and hi-fi
• Product knowledge
• Job will require work occasional work on Saturdays
• Professional, neat, clean-cut appearance
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to communicate and interact with co-workers, customers and vendors in an effective and professional manner
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
• Knowledge of Microsoft windows with basic computer proficiency
• QuickBooks Enterprise Proficiency
Physical Requirements
• Stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel for long periods of time
• Use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Reach with hands and arms
• Talk, hear, and be able to read documents and computer screens
• Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment can be loud; high amounts of lighting; and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment. Outside sales calls may be required.
