Today's make a beautiful quilted Batik Tote bag with two slip pockets and a zipper pocket inside. These quilted bags always take about a day and a half to make, but such a pretty end result. This will catch the eye of some of those quilters at the QuiltopiaOregon quilt show.

Today's make! Another 241 tote. I think I now have everything I want on this bag. My husband told me the little front pocket would be a great place for my keyless car entry key fob, so I added it back in thinking many people have those now. SEW NOW this bag has the following features:
*adjustable strap
*two outside slip pockets and zipper pocket
*button loop closure
*inside zipper pocket and slip pocket
* key leash

Another 241 Tote bag. I decided I wasn't a fan of the very small exterior zipper pocket so I omitted it and went with a large zipper pocket on the inside of the bag along with the slip pocket. I also made the shoulder strap adjustable and I did a button and loop closure which I really like!
It's a pretty deep bag, so I'm wondering if adding a key leash might be a good idea? I would never use it personally but I'm wondering if others out there do? If you like using key leashes in your bag let me know!

I realized I forgot to post Friday's make! Probably because I was up very late finishing it.
This tote bag has always intrigued me because it has so many ways for me to be creative. I tend to make the first bag pattern the way the designer intended and I did do that. As usual I plan to make several modifications as there are a couple of things I want to change. But this bag reminds me so much of a bag I use to carry in the early 70's. I plan to size this up a bit.
What do you all think of this style? Did any of you carry a bag similar to this shape?

Another make today! This is for Jessica at The Lonely Skein as she asked me to make her "something" out of this cool fabric from The Stitchin' Post. So tomorrow afternoon she will get a Wax and Wool tote bag. This bag has two outside slip pockets and the interior has a zipper pocket and slip pockets. This will fit a LOT of yarn!
