The Labor Day holiday means a little more to me now that our family owns a small business. I’ve gained an even greater appreciation for the people who get up every day, work with their hands, build businesses, serve customers, solve problems, and keep going—even on the hard days.

As Jordan and I work to build Bumble Bee Blinds, we are learning a lot about hard work, balancing family demands, and keeping track of all the little things that need to happen behind the scenes.

We are especially grateful for our family and for the opportunity we have to build something together. We are grateful for every customer, contractor, designer, installer, fellow small-business owner, and hardworking person we’ve met along the way.

Today, here’s to hard work, good people, and hopefully a little well-earned rest. ❤️🤍💙
