30 Years | Chapter 29

Marfa, Texas.

Ironwood Industries has a long history in Marfa, Texas. Back in the 90’s, we had a remote studio in Marfa. Back then, the Marfa Lights was a mystery. Donald Judd had just passed away. Prada Marfa was as yet unrealized.

Fast forward 30 years. A new generation of artists. New art installations by Dan Flavin and Robert Irwin among others. And the Marfa Lights is still an absolute mystery.

In late 2026, we’re opening a new Remote Studio in Marfa, Texas. We’re planning to showcase Jessica‘s architectural hardware and Wells’ furniture and sculpture.

There’s still a lot of work to do. But here’s a sneak peek of our project.

Z Squared is a new collection of sculptural chairs from our studio.

Conceived in 2023, Z Squared merges traditional handcraft with new technologies like digital engraving on wood and fiber laser precision in steel.
Sculptural and versatile, it perfectly demonstrates the thoughtful and bold spirit of a signature style that we’ve finessed over the last 30 years…
