Carroll Creek Creations is the store front for me, Debbie Hanson and my sister, Cindy Lawson. Our earliest memories of crafting are of our grandmother, who we lived with in our early childhood. She also love to embroidery, which she did on quilts, pillowcases and pot holders.

I don’t remember her making many cloth dolls, but I know that she made me one. Cindy and I have always been creative. Mamaw had us embroidering as children. We weren’t allowed at the sewing machine, so we were taught to sew by hand. I made my first stuffed animal by hand and my first cloth doll as a teenager. We didn’t start quilting until we became adults. What can you expect from Carroll Creek Creations? Cindy and I both sew: quilts, kitchen items, baby items and other things as the creative juice flows. Cindy crochets afghans, usually baby size. I make cloth dolls and some papier-mache items. We are always trying something new.
