I knew I had special talents within my hands since the tender age of four. As a little girl growi
ng up, I watched them bake cakes, pies, and other pastries for our family as well as their friends. We had a small family bakery that Big mamma ran out of the house. When I was about four ears my grandmother began to call me in the kitchen. She had me to pull up a chair to the table, and watch every morning how the system went down. She taught me how to help get the orders out to the neighbors. I would hand her the ingredients and she would explain to me the process of "Love and Details". Big mamma told me, that I was a special child and God blessed me with talented hands and an eye for love and details. I didn't really understand at that age what she meant. As I got older, I always took anything I could find, and tried to make something different from what it already was. As I got older, I was afraid to embark upon my gifts, and just dealt with life. The passion never went away and I always tried to be a blessing to others all my life. One day it came to me in my early twenty's, God had something just for me to do and no one else could do what he has for me. I remember crying out to God; " BUT I"M SCARED" It was then I knew God had me all along . I stepped out on faith, Mark 11 22-24. This business was birth from a life long dream of mine. I remember writing my vision when I was 22 years old in my journal. On April 5, 2000 the, appointed time came. This business is a spin off of A Tisket A Tasket Gift Basket; creative gift baskets for any special occasions and special orders. All designs are original and can not be duplicated. We are all about " love and detail" I started my business in my home as a hobby. When I would create gift baskets for family and friend's birthdays, anniversary's, weddings, Valentine's Day, Easter, etc.. The business took off as major conversation, and became the talk of the town. Next came Unique Lady Fashion, Lubbock, Texas. It was a small community Boutique that gleamed me many opportunities on a local, state, and national levels. "My gifts, the gift of my hands and an eye for love and details has been apart of my inner core. It's in my DNA. So I said all of this to say; I had to get out of my own self's way so many times. Life is journey, and it begins with putting one foot in front of the other and taking the steps. I'm ready now to take this business to another whole new level.
