Ive been having a great conversation with some friends about being happy. I believe that happiness is as simple as choosing to be happy even when the world seems to want everyone to be very unhappy.
Today this is what I’m doing that makes me happy.
I’m sewing scarps together that didn’t cost me anything. I’m sewing them on my old treadle machine that works beautifully and works my legs as well. And when I get finished some child will get a handmade blanket that grandma made on a treadle.
That makes me very happy.
What do you do that makes you happy?

Thank you so much to these two young ladies, mom and daughter for loving two of my jackets. I hope you love to wear them as much as I loved making them.
Now to get busy and make more. Yay!

Well I took a long and well deserved break after Christmas. I needed to organize my craft room so I could create without feeling as if it was closing in on me! But I can’t stay away from my sewing machine to long.
I’d had this jacket hanging on my form for weeks, I finally decide how I wanted to decorate it.
I like it. What do you think? I think I need something small on the front.

Well this was my last make before Christmas. I was sewing the buttons on, on Christmas Eve. But she likes her new jacket coat. It was made from a hand stitched quilt that someone spent hours on and wasn’t loved any more. It’s got a second life now and it’s being loved again.
