This Saturday Stuntz Woodworking we will be at the Zem Zem Shrine Center at 38 & Zuck for the 34th Holiday Craft Show. Since this will be our final show of the year all items are 30 - 50% off (most all at 50%). This includes everything we have in inventory even if space doesn't allow us to take it. The pics below are items that will most likely not be at the show so the sale prices are marked in the caption. We will also have at the show a large selection of Walnut and Cherry/Walnut serving boards. Great for gifts or treat yourself just in time for the Holiday party season!

FOR SALE:
Chopping Block similar to the ones used for generations at the butcher shop only counter-sized!
They are big, blocky, heavy and extremely durable. Made primarily of hard Maple with the end grain up these will add years to your knives because the end grains self-seal and will add years to the life of the board.

An added feature is a built in food container to hold your chopped veggies, crudité, or proteins. The containers are food safe and can go from chopping block to fridge, to freezer, to microwave to dishwasher (Rubbermaid Brilliance). Useful for pre-making salad fixins, lunches, bento boxes and dinner prep.

As noted earlier, the blocks will be made PRIMARILY of Hard Maple with a rotating cast of highlight woods mostly Hickory, Black Walnut, and Butternut. These are chosen based mostly on grain quality. Being a natural product it will most likely not look exactly like the picture but rest assured, I have a good eye for these things and your board will be beautiful.

We will be at Conneaut Lake Park Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the Rib Fest. Lots good food, awesome music (which can be enjoyed right from our tent), also some local brewers selling their wares. And us!

The latest from the Stuntz Woodworking shop. This table recreates a lava river flowing rife with associated pools and vents. The table stock is wormy White Oak flooring cut long ago from old growth timber. It is finished in 3 layers of crystal clear epoxy
The base is very grainy Hickory (Pecky Hickory) with just a touch of the saw marks left for a country, hand-hewn look.
The top measures 20x42 and stands 18" high.

Beautiful live edge Spalted Maple table. This table is 1.5" thick and the top is finished with epoxy while the legs and base are finished with polyurethane. The top features a very unique grain pattern.

The base is 2" thick solid Black Walnut and features the legs canted in at 5 degrees for a very unique and stunningly understated look.

High quality Ash Farmhouse style coffee table. The top is book-matched meaning the two pieces came off the saw in order and the center grain matches precisely. The edges of the frame are faux aged and finished in clear lacquer, the top has 10 coats of polyurethane finished to a soft luster. The bottom shelf is ship-lap walnut.

Who doesn't love a brilliant blue river table? It's like parfaits, who doesn't love parfaits? This blue river table (and the single pic of the red lava table at the end) are made from sections of rejected wormy flooring. Rejected because they were far too holey to be used as flooring but perfect for my idea - to emulate a river going through a lowland area full of lakes and ponds. Beautiful, sturdy and made to last for generations. The top is some very, very old White Oak coated in three layers of crystal clear epoxy. The bottom is Pecky Hickory with a natural/polyurethane finish. Size is 20"x42", and is priced at $400.00. The red top is the same size but is not quite finished. Just poured the last coat on the bottom this morning. It will feature a rough-cut bottom frame also with a natural finish.

I was asked recently to make a coffee table and my directions were "something natural, maybe even gnarly' (love that word!). What we ended up with is a live edge walnut slab finished front and back with 3 layers of clear epoxy. The base is part of an old hand-hewn barn beam I had. This beam is 100+ year old old growth timber.
Best part is my customer loves it. 2nd best part is I have material to make another (hint-hint). 42" long and 18" at the widest part.
