I don’t even know if I can put into words how much
Petal It Forward meant to me.

When I started Bloom & Brook, I knew I wanted it to be about more than just selling flowers. I wanted to build something that made people feel good. Something that brought a little more kindness, connection, and beauty into our community. I spent so much time building a career outside of our small town, being able to be here and make these moments happen, though small, mean so gosh darn much to me.

I think we forget how much the smallest gestures can mean to someone and even more so, how much giving and “scattering kindness” can lift your soul. You never really know what kind of day a person is having or what they’re carrying with them.

I managed to film a couple of these sweet moments, but most of the day was spent just soaking it all in. 🤍

I went out hoping to brighten a few people’s days, but I think I came home with a fuller heart than anyone (? a heart more full? 😆). This community has given me so much over the last several months and being able to give even a teeny tiny of that love back means more to me than I can explain.

Be kind to people. Love on your neighbors. Do the little things, even when nobody’s watching.

And if you ever get the chance to make somebody’s day a little brighter, take it. 🤍

A message from the family of Brian “Thor” Thoreson 🤍

Our hearts are incredibly heavy for the family, friends, and loved ones of Brian Thoreson as they face a loss that no words could ever make easier. There is simply no way to prepare for the heartbreak of losing someone so deeply loved.

During this unimaginable time, we extend our deepest condolences to the entire Thoreson family and everyone whose life was touched by Brian. May they feel the love of those surrounding them, find strength in one another, and hold tightly to the memories that will forever keep Brian close.

At the family’s request, anyone wishing to send flowers for Brian’s upcoming service is kindly asked to contact Bloom & Brook directly by phone or message to place an order. All delivery arrangements will be coordinated with the funeral home.

Our thoughts and prayers remain with the Thoreson family as they navigate the difficult days ahead. May they find moments of peace in the midst of their grief and comfort in knowing how many people are holding them close in their hearts. 🤍

If you’ve been following along since the beginning, you know how important kindness and meaningful moments are to me. I mean, I literally have “Scatter Kindness” tattooed on my body. 😂

So when I heard about Petal It Forward, I knew this was something I wanted to be part of! Giving back to the community that’s shown me so much love and support is something that’s really important to me.

🖼️ 🎨Earlier this week, a friend reached out wanting to send flowers to her sister for her very first art gallery showing. She told me her sister was an artist, loved bold colors, and gave me a list of her favorite colors and complete creative freedom. I had not seen her art prior to this (it’s amazing)🩷

Say less. 😂

I knew I wanted to do something a little different. Something that felt like art itself. So I grabbed some of my favorite flowers, painted a gold vase, and even broke out the floral paint to turn some greenery TEAL. Because why not!?

I loved it when it left the studio, but then she sent me these pictures of it actually IN THE GALLERY.

YOU GUYS. 😭

The colors. The artwork behind it. The whole dang thing.

I just can’t get over how perfectly it all came together.

This is hands down one of my favorite things I’ve ever created. And seeing my flowers sitting alongside someone’s actual artwork? Pretty freaking cool.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who ordered their homecoming flowers from Bloom & Brook, came in to build their own, or just stopped by to see what we had going on!

I was apparently too busy chatting and wrapping flowers to remember that taking pictures is also part of my job 😂 So here’s a little recap of what I did manage to capture!

A little HOCO morning update! 🌸

Our girl Shannon from Briars & Brambles got stuck in Denver and unfortunately won’t be joining us this morning! We’re so bummed, but sometimes life has other plans! 😂 We will do a little improvising 😏

BUT we’re still here slinging flowers, making bouquets, and getting you all ready for HOCO!

The bouquet bar is stocked and Connected by Charm will be here with permanent jewelry!
