Mockups are a key tool in our workroom for two reasons: assuring the client that we are making what they’re expecting to get, and testing our procedures for unusual or tricky fabrication. We mailed these mini mockups to our client for approval. And now we are happily sewing away with confidence! This trim is folded in half to the back to create the look of a narrow binding on shades and draperies. Fabrics

One of the last projects of 2024: 3 Top Down Bottom Up Roman shades, for .

Been a minute since we last made Relaxed Roman Shades! A wide, flat, heavy, stiff bottom trim (layered with a bead trim) wreaks havoc with the bottom swoop. My solution: an extra half-pleat to take up some of the excess on sides without the swoop covering the trim in the middle. I do this after the shade is hung, so I can get it exactly right.
