Wanna see a glimpse into my mind while I'm working on these old gems?! Well...this is it! This is what I see as I close my eyes....brush each stroke...and design with color and paper and all the things!

These pieces are story tellers...memory holders...secret keepers...and I truly find so much joy trying to draw each of them out and giving them to you. Letting them live on to hold more of those stories, memories, and secrets. This is the heartbeat of 12.20. 🥰

Be still my little Victorian loving heart...🥹

This petite "Lady" may be 125+ years old, but she is exquisite and full of charm. Perfectly imperfect with her beauty marks and brought back to life with the help of the most Victorian purple I've ever used...Wise Owl Paint Blackberry.

I've had this piece waiting in the wings since May...just waiting for the perfect mirror to pair with it. Sadly the years weren't kind to her and she was missing her mirror when I bought her....but I knew without a doubt she'd come back ready to take on another few decades if treated with the care she deserved. It's October...and next week marks 4 years in our "Beauty from Ashes" new beginnings home! Not a day goes by where I don't thank God for His beautiful plan. Those hard days were worth the blessings He had in store... and each October since, I've tried to find a home project to work on as a way to pour into this gift God gave us and to continue to make our house feel like home. For months I've been planning and designing trying to incorporate all the colors and styles all 6 of us love to make things really fit and flow together for our family living space. After many messages and photo ideas sent back and forth between college kids, Eric, and the girls at home a plan finally came together and I was ready to make it come alive. It took me a week to get it all done...I had to take it slow recovering from my knee injury...but happy to say it's done and we are ready to soak in cozy fall and winter days in our "Olde English" feeling home! Was it exhausting? Yes! I feel like a ran a marathon! But it was so worth it. 🫶🏻

Say hello to one of our retailers Rebecca Layton at Twelve Twenty Designs. Rebecca has been turning tired, old furniture into pieces with a story to tell since she was a kid rearranging her bedroom. Every piece she works on gets a little thought about who owned it before and who it’s going home to next. That kind of care shows in every detail.

And yes, she’s looking cute in her WO zip! 😍
