My dream last night:
I worked in a daycare with 2 playgrounds. I brought Roux to work with me. He was in one playground with big kids that had a big big barrel in it. I was in another with lil tiny toddlers. All of a sudden we got notice that the barrel full of Uranium was going to be blown up.
For some reason we couldn’t go inside. So I lined up 5 gallon buckets and tried to keep the littles behind it like a shield wall. It blew up and the light flash was so intense and blinding. All I could think of was Roux being so close to the radiation. (Nevermind the fact that we were all of course, exposed greatly.) then birds and chickens started falling from the sky and I ran over to keep him from eating even MORE radiation.
We went home and I was freaking tf out that my dog was going to die. There was a big tree in our yard and a red and black banded snake launched itself down at me. I recognized that it was “venom lack”, but still. Why was it so aggressive??? Up in the tree were DOZENS MORE of these no legged bastards. Roux saw them too and ran up the trunk of the tree, leaping from branch to higher branch. (Radioactive dog powers, maybe??) He got SO HIGH and the branch couldn’t hold him. He fell and landed on his feet. Now I’m freaking out that he’s got radiation poisoning ANNNNND impacted legs and broke himself. And then I woke up.
CAN YOU TELL I’VE GOT SOMETHING ON MY MIND??? Having recently found out that parts of STL ARE IN FACT RADIOACTIVE has me stressing out over where we move. I don’t want to hear about “good or safe” areas. That’s racist bu****it. I just want to be sure we’re not in a radioactive area that’ll give us cancer.
We went up to West County last weekend to explore and get a feel for the area. There’s SO MUCH OVER THERE, we even found Abelardo’s…and swung right around in a U-turn to have lunch. But CHRIST, rent is expensive. If anyone can keep us in mind and point us in affordable, dog-friendly, yet non-radioactive zipcode houses to rent, or maybe knows of someone open to renting, or an opportunity coming up, we would GREATLY APPRECIATE THE HELP!!
These dreams will drive me insane if they keep happening 😢
