ā˜€ļø First to arrive, last to leave: Celebrating Laurie Dillion!
If you have ever had a magical time at our annual Spring Art & Wine Festival or our Autumn Harvest Moon Festival, you have seen Laurie Dillion's hard work in action. Laurie isn't just an incredible painter in our gallery; she is a cornerstone of our event team. Year after year, Laurie is front and center—arriving early in the morning to set up booths and staying late into the evening to pack everything away. Whatever needs to be done, she jumps in with a smile. It takes a village to bring these massive community events to life, and Laurie is the absolute heartbeat of ours.
šŸ›ļøBut her impact goes way beyond the canvas. Since January of 2022, Laurie has stepped up as one of our six dedicated Board Directors, helping shape the future of our co-op. From greeting you at the front desk twice a month to keeping our gallery hours running smoothly, Laurie's passion for the local art scene shines through everything she does.
✨ Join us in thanking Laurie for her endless dedication! Come see her striking painted collections at the co-op this week.

Cumberland Gap Artists’ Co-op Member Spotlight: Kathy Deering

I am a recent transplant to the Cumberland Gap area having been born and lived in Orlando, FL my entire life. My husband, Rudy was born in White Pine, TN so it’s only fitting that we spend some time in the mountains which we both love!
I haven’t had any formal training in the arts; however, I have always loved to draw and paint, with watercolor being my first love. Cumberland Gap Artists’ Co-Op (CGAC) has given me a wonderful opportunity to explore and expand my artistic passion. My latest venture is Scratchboard Art—consisting of scratching away the black ink to reveal the subject and then choosing to leave it as a black and white piece or painting it with watercolors. Details can be achieved with scratchboard that would be nearly impossible with any other medium. It is very time-consuming and challenging yet rewarding.

Member Spotlight: Lily Collins
✨If you have visited our gallery over the last five years, you have likely stopped to admire the stunning jewelry cases curated by Lily Collins. Lily joined the Cumberland Gap Artists' Co-op back in June of 2021. Since then, her intricate, hand-crafted jewelry pieces have become an absolute staple of our storefront—and our community events! When she isn't stocking our shelves with fresh designs from her studio in Oak Ridge, TN, Lily is helping us bring our biggest local traditions to life. You can always find her and her beautiful wearable art at our annual Art & Wine Festival on the last Saturday of every April and our Harvest Moon Festival on the last Saturday of every September. Want to add a piece of Lily’s timeless craft to your own collection? Stop by the co-op this week to browse her latest designs in person!

Hi! I’m Vicky! As a retired Registered Nurse, I love natural products. In 2019 we started Scottish Blessings Farm in North Carolina. We began with 2 Nigerian Dwarf goats and 2 Scottish Highlanders. The love of our herds increased, and we relocated to our current farm in Tennessee. I myself have skin problems and in 2022 I began looking into a natural remedy for my own skin. I began looking into soap making and including lotion/creams and other goat milk products. My love for not only healthy products but aesthetically appealing and fragrant products came to life. And here we are! I love helping people understand the values of natural products. The Appalachian Mountains are home.
