Buying a rug when you have kids? Here's what I always tell my clients:

Go for dimension first. A rug with texture, pattern, or variation hides so much more than a flat, solid one.

Go a shade darker than your instinct. That cream rug you're eyeing? Get the light tan instead of the white. You'll thank yourself!

And if you truly have your heart set on something light and bright — make sure it's washable!

Our patio finally got the glow-up it deserved. 🙌
