Newsflash! As you all know, we’ll be vending at the Great Lakes Fiber Show this memorial day weekend (5/23-24) and we’d love to see you all there. That being said, we know that gas is $$$ and a festival environment can be overwhelming without a sense of direction. We’ve brainstormed two things to help!

First, we’ve set up a sign up form to carpool! In the form you’ll answer questions about whether or not you’d like to volunteer to drive and when you would like to leave from Silver Lining Yarns, the dedicated meeting place.

Next, we’ve got Fiber Festival Bingo! Pick up your bingo card in store for $5, bring it with you to the festival (May 23-24) and check off as many boxes as you can on your quest to get a bingo! Bring your card back between May 26th and June 8th to collect your prize! More details can be found on the product page to get your bingo card. Links can be found in our bio!

⛅️🌈 Hey Starshines! It's time for a lore drop! 👀 Back in 2008 at the age of 15, Gwyndylyn finally got her invite to join Ravelry. Four days later, she made her first post in the Teens Knit & Crochet group. (Back when the social aspect of the site really meant something.) It was the first time she had been introduced to people her own age who stitched, and for a long time, they were the only people her age who stitched. As a neurodivergent homeschooled kid in the panhandle of Florida, it helped her feel less isolated and more normal. These people were all going through similar things and the sense of community was almost overwhelming at times. Since then, Gwyndylyn has made a point to create inclusive environments wherever she stitches. It's this group that helped ignite the spark that led her to this point, so what better way could we give back than by creating that same kind of inclusive space for the next wave of fiber artists?

Teens 13-17 can join the couches every other Saturday, starting April 4th, from 11a-1p(ish) for snacks and social time with others who get you where you're at!
