Fall has officially arrived at The Dahl Farmhouse.

Jon cut down a tree for me and I turned it into a fall display. 🍂

I repurposed the baskets from our summer display, traded the greenery for fall stems and pumpkins.

And tucked right into the middle of it all, FOVERE.

I keep a jar of tiny treasures at my register to offer the children who come into the store. Every once in a while, a grown-up spots the jar and asks if they can have one too.

And of course, I always say yes.

Then I smile as I watch them dig through the jar, looking for the one that feels like their perfect little treasure.

Here’s a little secret… before we remodeled the store, my customers tried on clothes in a refrigerator cabinet. 😂

Not exactly the fitting room experience you’d expect but somehow, we made it work.

And now not only do we have one fitting room, we have two.

We have a diffuser in every room of our home.

Customers often ask what fragrances we use, so I thought I’d give you a little peek at two of them.

Our dining room is filled with LOVE—the scent that always feels like home.

Our bedroom is currently home to a fragrance no one else has smelled yet… I’ve been living with our new fall scent while I continue testing it before its release.

Before I release a new fragrance into the collection I test it in our home before it ever finds its way into yours.

Same scent. Different name.

As we expand the Men’s Mercantile and prepare to launch our own men’s apparel line this fall, we wanted our signature men’s fragrance to have an identity of its own.

Introducing Edson Marker.

The fragrance you know as Dahl remains exactly the same—only the name has changed.

Rooted in history. Strong. Masculine. Distinctly its own.

Some of the most meaningful pieces in our store aren’t things we purchased. They’re pieces of our story.

This fixture once belonged to Jon’s grandfather, Edson Marker Pyle. Edson was a fighter pilot during World War II, and this piece originally came from the military before finding its way into his workshop.

Years later, it became part of the place where Jon spent countless hours working alongside his grandfather, learning the craft of woodworking. The lessons he learned there still show up in the furniture, displays, and details he creates today.

Now this piece has a new home at The Dahl Farmhouse.

What I love most is that customers see a fixture. We see a grandfather and mentor. The quiet passing of knowledge from one generation to the next.

A new collection of handcrafted diffuser flowers are here and they might be my favorite addition to the diffuser bar yet. Simply place one in your favorite Tori Dahl diffuser oils. Oil is slowly absorbed up through the flower releasing scent into the air.

One of my favorite parts of owning a store is creating displays that reflect the season.

For summer, Jon cut a branch from our property and attached it to the center table. We added baskets and I layered in greenery and blooms. I filled the baskets with products from my collection…..creating a subtle nod to the season.

Before. After.

A whole lot of work happened between these two videos.

What started as an empty space became The Men’s Mercantile. An extension of The Dahl Farmhouse.

Most men don’t actually want to spend the day holding their wife’s shopping bags. So we designed a space for men to discover something they didn’t know they needed while sipping on whiskey. 🥃
