No one saw what happened behind this event... and that's exactly why this post is for our team. โค๏ธ
During setup, the sun was unforgiving. It was unbelievably hot. We spent hours carrying heavy wooden pieces across a huge venue, moving everything back and forth until every detail was exactly where it needed to be. By then, our shirts were completely soaked with sweat.
Then, just before the event started, dark clouds rolled in, the rain came pouring down. Strong winds started hitting the entire setup. In just a short time, we went from standing under the burning sun to standing in the middle of a storm.
But what amazed me the most was thisโฆ Not one person asked, "How am I doing?"
Instead, everyone was asking, "Are the balloons okay?" "Will the backdrop hold?" "Do we need to tighten this balloon cluster?" "Let's make sure nothing moves."
Even with the wind pushing against us, everyone stayed. Holding panels. Securing balloon clusters. Checking every corner over and over because all we wanted was for our client to walk in and see everything exactly as we had planned.
Moments like these remind me that what makes The Story special isn't just the decor we create. It's the people behind it.
