Have we told you lately how much we LOVE our Craftique community? 🥹🧶💕

This is what makes our little yarn shop so special. A table full of people learning something new, friends working on their projects, conversations happening across the room, lots of laughter, and makers of all ages spending a little part of their day together. ✨

Yes, we love the yarn. We love the projects. We love teaching new skills and watching beautiful things come to life.

But THIS is our favorite part. 💗

Craftique was always meant to be more than a place to buy yarn. We wanted it to be a place where you can come in, pull up a chair, create, learn, laugh, make friends, and simply feel like you belong.

And days like this remind us just how lucky we are to have built that together. 🥰

Another successful Craftique After Hours! ✨🧶🎨

Tonight was all about bringing your own craft, relaxing, creating, and spending time with our amazing crafty community. And of course… I had to bring something new to try! 😆

Tonight’s experiment: Kinusaiga fabric art — and oh my goodness, this is FUN! 😍 Fabric, texture, color, and that incredibly satisfying feeling of watching the design come together piece by piece.

One of my favorite things about our After Hours nights is seeing ALL kinds of crafts around the table. Knitting, crochet, embroidery, painting, and sometimes something completely new that makes everyone say, “Wait… what are you making?!” 😂

Because apparently I didn’t already have enough hobbies. 🤷‍♀️

Another wonderful night of creating, relaxing, connecting, and trying something new at Craftique. ❤️

✨ She’s officially out of timeout. 😂🧶

I finally picked up my Terrain Tee by Yamagara again, and now I’m wondering why I ever put it down because… LOOK at this fabric. 😍

I’m combining Pandaemonium with Katia Concept Combine & Pailletes, and holding the two yarns together has created the most beautiful fabric with this subtle sparkly effect that catches the light just right. ✨

The texture, the colors, the little bit of shimmer… I am absolutely loving how this project is coming together.

Sometimes a project just needs to sit in timeout for a while until you’re ready to fall in love with it again. 😂 And I think this one and I have officially reconciled.

Now… let’s see if I can actually finish it before another project distracts me. 👀🧶

Apparently, they really do. 🥹🧶❤️

One of my wonderful customers, Jill, surprised me with this adorable project bag covered in macaws because it reminded her of my home country, Costa Rica. 🇨🇷🦜

And I mean… how incredibly thoughtful is that?!

This is one of those little moments that reminds me that Craftique has become so much more than yarn, knitting, and crochet. Somewhere between the stitches, the sitting around the table, the conversations, the laughter, and all the time we spend creating together… real friendships happen.

Thank you, Jill, for thinking of me and for such a special little piece of home. I absolutely love it. ❤️

🧜‍♀️ Ready to take your crochet skills to the next level?

Meet the Mermaid Cowl by Alice Tarry, crocheted here in the shop using gorgeous Malabrigo Rios. 🧶✨

This is such a fun next-step project for crocheters who already know the basic stitches and are ready to learn something new, build confidence, and create a piece that looks beautifully intricate.

And with holiday making season officially upon us… 🎁 this one also happens to make a fantastic handmade gift. (Although we fully support making one for yourself first. 😉)

I’ll be teaching the Mermaid Cowl in an upcoming class at Craftique Studio, where we’ll work through the techniques you need to bring this gorgeous texture to life.

This is why we knit. 🩷🧶

Watching color slowly turn into something you can actually wear never gets old.

The soft pinks, the little speckles, those gorgeous deeper berry and purple sections… and the way every skein adds its own personality to the fabric. ✨

Sometimes the best part of a hand-knit isn’t just the finished sweater—it’s watching it come to life, one stitch and one color change at a time.

And this one? I could stare at it all day. 💕
