On June 6, 1944, a pivotal moment in history unfolded on the beaches of Normandy, France. Known as D-Day, this day marked the beginning of the end of World War II and the liberation of Europe from N**i occupation. As we commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day, we pause to honor the bravery, sacrifice and determination of the Allied forces who undertook this monumental task.

This is just the beginning of all the amazing things you’re going to do.

Dade City Antiques is truly an old fashioned antique store. We have nine(9) dealers and all do a great job with offering fantastic antique and vintage collectibles.

The internet says: Preserving antiques safeguards our tangible history, honors masterful craftsmanship, and promotes eco-friendly living. By maintaining aged pieces, we preserve a physical connection to the past.

I believe we have a responsibility to honor the past, regardless of the item: furniture, vintage kitchen ware or cutesy living room items, and so much more.
To me, one of the most important elements of preserving history is ephemera. (Old paper goods and photos).

You will notice on several posts I have tried to find original owners of vintage photographs and other items.
There are several vintage photographs that are local Dade City people and I would love for them to have these photos. If you know any of the people in the photos please reach out to them.
There is a ring from Van Buren Junior High School in Tampa. The original owner should have this ring.

Thank you for sharing the posts. The greater number of people who share…the greater the chance of the original owner coming forward

I am saddened to announce that Renee Andrews Dyess passed away. Renee and her husband Ed came down to Florida for a visit and while here Renee passed.
Renee was a great lady. She had been a dealer/vendor at Annetta’s Attic for years.
Her antique name was Renee’s Relics. She had more knowledge of antique and vintage glassware, pottery, and perfumes than anyone I know.
She was a dear friend to so many antique dealers and will be greatly missed.

Funny story: when Annetta’s Attic was closing I purchased a very large cabinet- display case. I was trying to figure out how to get it moved to another store.
Renee said no problem. We put it on a flat roller dolly and took it down the elevator. Renee and I pushed that monster cabinet thru Dade City on sidewalks and streets to its new location. Pushed it down the alley, through the back door, down steps, and shoved it in place. Still in the same place!! We laughed the entire way!
