The space was less about creating a formal dining room and more about solving a spatial puzzle. The dining area sits wedge between the living space and the bar, so the challenge was finding a way to make each area feel distinct, while still connected to the overall flow of the home.
The round burned fir table with hand straight, finish, help, soften the linear path and carve out its own moment within this open plan. I used repeated shapes, dark tones, and texture to carry your eye naturally from one space to the next. I love this balance between stronger, geometric lines, and the more sinuous, sculptural elements throughout the room.
