Some projects you can tell are going to be special from the very first conversation. Those are the ones where we want the right people around the table early.

Rachel is one of them. We bring collaborators like her in from the start, and our own team works right alongside them through design and procurement, well before anyone picks up a tool on site.

By the time we’re building, we’ve already worked through the hard stuff together. And the finished space still looks like what everyone pictured at the beginning.

We love working this way.

Mezquite Group has been named a 2026 SMU Cox Dallas 100™️ honoree, recognized among the fastest-growing companies in North Texas.

That growth was built one occupied property at a time. Hotels that stayed open through renovation. Healthcare spaces that kept running while our crews worked around them. Owners who trusted us inside their revenue-producing assets.

It’s our second growth recognition this year, following the Inc. 5000, and it belongs to the people on our job sites.

Out walking the block with the team.

We check the back of a building as closely as the front. Where deliveries can stage and how tight the service access is won’t show up on the drawings, but they shape how the job runs day to day.

More eyes on the walk, fewer surprises on the job.

Before anything gets built, we walk it.

Open steel overhead, bare slab underfoot. This is where we figure out what the space can handle and what the schedule has to protect, long before the first trade shows up.

Most people never see this part of the job. It’s one of our favorites.

Proud to support the conversations shaping the future of Dallas. 🏙️

Mezquite Group was honored to sponsor the Greater Dallas Planning Council’s 80th Anniversary & Annual Meeting, bringing together leaders across architecture, engineering, construction, business, and our community to discuss the vision for the future of Downtown Dallas.

We’re proud to be part of an industry that doesn’t just build projects, it helps build stronger communities and shape what comes next.

Congratulations to the Greater Dallas Planning Council on 80 years of leadership, collaboration, and bringing important conversations to the table.

We were proud to be part of the celebration and even more excited about what’s ahead for Dallas.

📸 A few moments from an inspiring day.

Mezquite made the 2026 Inc. 5000.

We want to be clear about who this belongs to.

It belongs to the crews who set up before the first guest came downstairs and broke down before the last one came back. To the superintendents who treated a hotel lobby like a revenue-producing asset, not a job site. To the owners and operators who trusted us inside buildings that could not afford to close.

Growth is what the list measures. Trust is what built it.

Thank you.

Ask a contractor what happens in the first hour on your property. The answer tells you what kind of project you’re buying.

If it’s unloading equipment, they’re treating your hotel like a job site. If it’s walking an Active Hotel Action Plan (AHAP) that was already written. Access routes, guest impact, sequencing settled before arrival. Then they understand your building has customers in it.

You’re not hiring someone to finish rooms. You’re hiring someone to keep the hotel running while they do.

Every renovation budget has a line for construction cost. Almost none have one for the days a room sits offline longer than planned.

That number gets decided in the first week of demo. Open a wall, find something that wasn’t in the drawings, and the schedule either absorbs it or it doesn’t. The difference isn’t luck. It’s whether the crew standing there has the authority to solve what they found, or has to stop and wait on an RFI to be told what they already know.

Ask your GC how they handle discovered conditions before you ask what they charge.
