My biggest flex in life?

I picked a good man. 🤍

22 years of choosing each other.

Through the easy seasons, the hard ones, the growing, the dreaming, the moving, the mess, and now… raising four boys while living on a boat. 😂

He’s still the person I want beside me for all of it.
Turns out, the best thing I ever chose wasn’t the house, the career, the boat, or any of the adventures…
It was him.

And if my boys grow up to be half the man their dad is, I’ll know I did something right.

22 years in, and I’d still pick him. Every damn time. ❤️

Boat Life Reality #6: Living in a small space means it gets MESSY FAST. 😂

Six people. One catamaran. Very limited storage.
And somehow, five minutes after cleaning… there’s STUFF. EVERYWHERE. 😅

One thing gets left out → then another → and suddenly our liveaboard boat looks like a bomb went off.
The biggest lesson we’ve learned living aboard our sailboat? Everything needs a home.

Because when you live in a small space, clutter doesn’t have anywhere to hide. There’s no “I’ll just close the door and deal with it later.” 😂

Boat life is beautiful.
Boat life is adventurous.
Boat life is also constantly putting things back where they belong.

And honestly? I think learning to live with LESS stuff—and being intentional about what we keep—is one of the best parts of living aboard.

I honestly had no idea. No idea that things would get moldy so fast. I definitely never expected to be mopping the ceilings! I am constantly cleaning, wiping things down with bleach, and washing pillow covers.

Unfortunately living a full time boat lifestyle, it’s the perfect storm for mold growth. You definitely have to stay on top of it!

Selling it all to live full-time aboard a sailboat wasn’t easy, but the journey has been beautiful!

Before buying our catamaran, to live aboard full time, I full well believed that if we were anchored, we would be holding still. Wow was I naive! 🤣

So many days over the past year have been spent anchored and most of the time we are riding the waves and current. Some have been so bad that it actually felt as though we were underway and it made me feel so sick!

We learned pretty quick that we needed to find protected anchorages, check wind and current directions for the days we would be there, and based on that info, choose our anchorage wisely!! 🌊
