People are sometimes surprised that I’m a certified animal aromatherapist and also the founder of a luxury candle brand.

Honestly, one is the reason I’m so careful with the other. I think about every fragrance and how strong it needs to be, because I know who else is in the room.

And my honest advice for any home with animals: whatever candle you burn, including mine, give it airflow and keep it away from where your animals rest.

Right now, if you look at PV Home, you see four candles. And that’s fair, because that’s what exists today.

But that’s not really what I’m building.

I see something much bigger around fragrance, home, memory, place, hospitality, objects and culture. I don’t know exactly what every category becomes yet, and I don’t want to force it.

The candles are just the first tangible expression of the world we’re trying to build.

PV Home probably wouldn’t exist in its current form without Bailey!

I started making candles during COVID and eventually put it aside as life and grooming got busy. Bailey was the one who suggested I revisit it.

Then, while we were working through the original Journey Collection packaging, she said one thing: “I don’t like the yellow.”

That little comment sent me in a completely different direction, and the collection became much more personal in the process.

Here’s the story.

PV Home started as something I was playing around with during COVID, then life got busy and I put it aside.

Bailey was the one who pushed me to revisit it.

Then during the early packaging process she said, “I don’t like the yellow.”

That one comment helped change the entire direction of what eventually became the Journey Collection.

Sometimes the smallest feedback ends up shaping the biggest part of a brand.

We don’t sell everything we make.
There’s a lot of testing behind PV Home: wicks, wax, vessels, fragrance ratios, all of it. We want the fragrance to be noticeable without taking over the room. It should live with you in it.
Also, apparently I get distracted by fountains now. 😂
