Same stone wall. Entirely different dinner party. 🍸

At our Devonshire Modern Retreat, we kept the existing stone and gave everything around it a fresh perspective. A round table makes conversation easy, sculptural lighting brings the drama, and pattern overhead gives everyone a reason to look up.

And the bar? Rich wood, beautiful stone, and room for a much better w**e collection.

A little mood goes a long way. Taking it onto the ceiling? Even better.

For the primary suite in our Lakewood Gothic Grandeur project, we wrapped the bedroom in deep charcoal, layered in soft textiles, and added a spot to settle in at the end of the day.

In the bath, we let the stained glass shine, pairing it with marble, antiqued mirror, and dark cabinetry. Those beautiful arches deserved their moment, too.

Let’s talk about the kitchen.

Our clients wanted to take it from classic and a little glitzy to California-cool modern: warm, relaxed, beautifully tailored, and made for gathering.

We quieted the palette with streamlined cabinetry and leathered Taj Mahal stone, then brought in contrast through the richly toned island, black accents, sculptural lighting, and warm brass details. The custom banquette transformed the breakfast area into an inviting gathering nook that feels connected to the kitchen and much more reflective of how the family lives.

The result is light, layered, and effortlessly cool. A true transformation at our Devonshire Modern Retreat.

Introducing Devonshire Modern Retreat, a Dallas second home layered with warm wood, natural stone, sculptural lighting, and just enough drama. And that dining room ceiling? Obviously, we weren’t leaving it white.
