Mahjong is back on the calendar!

On Thursday, December 3, teaches Mahjong 101 at the shop. You will learn the rules, how to read the card, the tiles, and how to actually sit down and play. Most people are playing a real game before the night is over.

Then on December 10, Mahjong 102 picks up where it left off with guided play, so everything you learned starts to click.

Book just the intro for $85, or take both nights together for $150. No experience and no equipment needed. Come on your own or bring the friend who has been saying she wants to learn.

New arrivals from Jamie Young Co. just hit the website and we need to talk about them.

This is what we mean when we say coastal. Not your grandma’s seashells and blue paint. This is modern, layered, intentional, and it feels like us.

Let’s start with the Clearwater wall art. These are genuine shells, individually arranged into a composition and framed. Just under thirty inches square. The iridescence shifts as you move past it, blue that goes green depending on the hour. A print could never do that. Real material catches light, and that’s what separates a piece like this from anything you’d find mass-produced.

The Finley fluted arched cabinet is a showstopper. Open the doors, and it becomes the most beautiful storage in your home. Throws, pillows, linens, whatever you want tucked away, but still on display.

The Tarte ottoman in earl grey velvet is the kind of piece that does everything. Put your feet up, use it as extra seating, add a tray and it becomes a coffee table. High resilience foam, solid oak legs with a hand applied pale finish, and protective metal endcaps. It’s as well made as it looks.

The Tether lounge chairs in pale oak are coming soon and should be ready to order by end of November.

This is what girls night looks like now and honestly, we’re not mad about it. Florals, friends, and a really good time at the shop. We have something special coming for the holidays... stay tuned. 🤍

If you know someone who loves mahjong (or if that someone is you, no judgment 😉), these holiday pieces from Oh My Mahjong are about to make their entire season.

We have two stunning holiday mats: the Yuletide, with its classic evergreen and crimson plaid surrounded by florals, lanterns, and bows, and the Merriment, which takes a fresher approach with pink, icy blue, and mint. Both are 33"x33" neoprene, roll up into a storage tube, and honestly look too pretty to play on. Almost.

And then there are the ornaments: the Fortune Coin, Lotus Pagoda, and Longevity. Each one is detailed and the kind of thing a mahjong player will absolutely light up over when they open it.

We’re down to our last few of each. These won’t be restocked before the holidays. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.

High Point recap, straight from Market. 🤍

Here’s what we couldn’t stop looking at:

→ Oxblood furniture. Deep, rich and so sexy.
→Game tables, made to be part of the room.
→ Rattan, woven materials, and lucite. Natural texture in sculptural shapes.
→ Plaid, mohair, and fuzzy chairs. A lot of it, and we love it.
→ Contrast welts on intentional fabric. They were everywhere, and they were gorgeous.
→ Color and shapes, with curves and bolder color all over the floor.
→ And fringe, which was everywhere.
