A fun Poly-Fil Craft

No glue, no cutting up a beautiful doily, and no reason you can’t take it apart later. 🤎

This is actually one of the pumpkins my mama made. We simply layered the doily over a soft muslin liner, added Poly-fil, gathered it all up, and finished it with a stem, raffia, and a little embellishment.

And because nothing is permanently attached, that beautiful doily can be used again down the road.

As my mama would say… no doilies were harmed in this project. 😂

🧸Shout out to Kate who is a volunteer for Unity Hospice in Wisconsin. Unity volunteers create neck pillows that are provided to hospice patients in the past year. They have created over 500 in the past year. Additionally, they’re Fillef With Love program volunteers have made 394 memory bears and 134 pillows in 2025. These items are given to family members whose patients who have passed away.

❄️ 𝗔 𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝟮𝟬 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀! ✂️

Turn a plain canvas drop cloth into the cutest handmade snowflake ornaments. And the best thing? Most of the supplies you probably already have at home. 🤍

So the basic idea is this:

✨ Cut 2 circles from a canvas drop cloth.
✨ Stitch a basic snowflake on one using embroidery floss and a simple running stitch.
✨ Glue the edges with Fabri-Tac, leaving a small opening.
✨ Stuff with Poly-Fil.
✨ Add a ribbon loop to hang it.
✨ Seal the opening with glue and stitch around the edge.

No need for fancy embroidery skills or complicated techniques just simple stitching and a little creativity.

Each one takes about 𝟮𝟬 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 once you get in the groove!
