Three things I’d put in every kitchen

Here’s a tour of my favorite things in our Old Mill Project kitchen in Greenwich.

The marble. It’s the star of the show, from the backsplash and floating shelf down to the waterfall island.

Open shelving. It looks pretty, and everybody can help themselves.

A window seat. I encourage all my clients to put seating in the kitchen. It’s where homework gets done and where everyone ends up talking while dinner’s cooking. Ask any family which spot in the house gets used most and you might be surprised.

Which one would you add to your kitchen?

It’s all in the littles. The objects, artwork, and collected pieces that add personality, tell a story, and make a room feel complete.

The spaces are only part of the story. A few BTS moments from our latest lifestyle shoot, capturing how these homes are meant to be lived in.

For our Nantucket project, the team weighed in on a wallpaper selection for the billiards room, and now it’s your turn. Head to our Stories to cast your vote for your favorite pattern, then check back Monday to see how the audience pick compares to the client’s final selection.

Inside the studio, where ideas take shape in real time. Projects in progress are pinned to the board, materials and samples are pulled for upcoming work, and CADs, renderings, and objects are constantly in motion.

Before, during, and after of our Darien Riverfront kitchen transformation. What began as a simple refresh evolved into a full-scale reimagining. Once bookended by unused space, the kitchen was reconfigured by TERRI RICCI INTERIORS and STUDIO BARTOLOTTA LLC to include a breakfast area, wet bar, and pantry, creating what Ricci describes as a “central gathering hub” with more light and purpose. Beyond the breakfast area, the dining room frames views of the water, extending the connection between the home and the landscape.
