Today’s August Rock Island Artists’ Market is getting a little extra birthday sparkle because Skeleton Key turns 13! 🥳
We’ve packed a LOT into this afternoon, and we’d love to celebrate with you!

John’s sculptures are 30–50% OFF today only! Come find that one-of-a-kind piece you’ve been eyeing—or discover a new favorite. John will be here to help you pick one out and load it up!
🎨 FREE Chalk Art Creation Station
Award-winning local chalk artist (and our son!) Alex VandeWalle, will be here from noon–5 PM with a whole lot of chalk and an invitation for YOU to help create some sidewalk art! All ages are welcome, chalk is provided, and no artistic experience is required. Just drop in and create!
🎂 13th Birthday Fun Inside the Store
We’ll have birthday treats, door prize drawings, special sales, and plenty of reasons to wander through the store and celebrate with us.
And yes…we’ve been keeping an eye on that weather. 🌦️ It may look a little iffy, but we’re going for it! We’re ready, our vendors are ready, the chalk is ready, and we’re looking forward to an amazing afternoon in downtown Rock Island!
