Attn. small business friends! BEWARE…I think we were almost victims of a scammer, and I wanted to pass the word.

This person contacted me to purchase a cutting board. I asked if she wanted to MEET tomorrow and she said yes. Then she asked for 5 boards, and a discount. 🤔 She then asked if she could make a deposit, and then proceeded to tell me that she lives in Oregon. (You said you could meet, but ok.)

When I told her I could send an invoice if she sent me her cellphone or email, she sent an email address that was a completely different name than her profile. When I searched for her I realized that she doesn’t follow our page, and questioned how she saw my post.

Her excuse for the email/profile difference-she said she isn’t tech savvy so her goddaughter created it. And she said she found us on Facebook by searching ‘artistic woodwork,’ and we were the first to pop up. 😂🤣😂

Don’t get me wrong, I know we make quality stuff, but we only have 260 followers, and we don’t even come up first when my daughter searches with those words.

I thanked her for her interest, and she blocked me. Instead of just ‘buyer, beware,’ it’s also ‘seller beware.’

Since we’re taking a break from the business right now, we find ourselves with totes filled with goodies that we need to sell.
We have some beautiful holiday items, cutting boards, charcuterie boards, planters, plant stands, etc. All would make great Christmas gifts!

Hi everyone!

We have decided to take a break from markets, at least for the summer.

So much of our work doesn’t do well with humidity (cutting/charcuterie boards). We’re going to revise, and regroup, and we’ll figure out when we’ll be out there again.

In the meantime, if you have a custom order request just shoot us a message and we will do our best to accommodate.

It is almost market day! This Saturday, May 25th, come out and get all your local goodies. If you plan to have a cookout, market has you covered! As per usual our seasonal and daily vendors will have a wide variety of items and the link/snap station will be available as well.

Check the comments section below to see a list of what some of our vendors will be bringing and/or keep reading.

We’re looking forward to another great day The Farmer's Market of Carbondale, this Saturday, May 25!

We made a few of these cute cedar baskets last year, imagining people using them in the garden while picking flowers or veggies. I don’t think others shared my vision. 😂

This year I looked at these little baskets and instantly saw a planter. Who knows? Maybe this is the inspiration we needed!

We also built a garden trug, better suited to picking veggies and being able to hose them down, in the basket.

We will have two new cutting boards available also.

Our shop is open and we’re always taking orders. See you Saturday!

What a BEAUTIFUL day at The Farmer's Market of Carbondale!

Spring is quickly becoming my favorite, I think. Fall is still a strong contender, but spring is rejuvenating!

Thanks to all who stopped by to say hello, and all who placed orders with us. 🫶

Mother’s Day is right around the corner, and we are still taking orders for planters.

Moms don’t just love flowers. We like pretty things to plant in, or display them, too. 🤗 Lucky for all of you, our market is one stop shopping for Mother’s Day, or any day.

You can get all the flowers! If mom has a green thumb, grab some annuals or perennials. If her thumb isn’t so green, maybe a beautiful bouquet from Bloom Ridge Farm-upick flowers would make her day.

Does Mom like to cook? Well the veggies are already arriving, or you could stop by Pink Tiger Farm for some home grown seasoning.

Maybe Mom likes little luxuries? Stop by My Saved Objects and talk with Candace. She can help you choose a soap or lotion that will make mom’s day.

Is art or jewelry mom’s favorite? The market has that covered as well! Visit Local Color or GlassRoots by MaryAnne and browse through their jewelry. Or visit with Sharon at Glass On Glass Designs to get a beautiful bird feeder or wind chime.

Maybe dad wants to cook a feast for the family, and give mom the day off? Feast you will if you shop at our market! Bison Bluff Farms and The Flock Farm are two excellent choices for locally raised meat.

There’s one Saturday left to get something amazing for your mom, all while keeping your dollars local.

Don’t forget you can find items to pair with any of the meats at market (Bison, Chicken, Pork, Beef, and even seafood) such as Hickory Fire grill sauce from Glaciers End, Coffee Rub from Cold Blooded Coffee Co., seasoning salts from Pink Tiger Farm, and so much more.

If you don’t get a chance to make it out to market, just remember to place your order through LEAF Food Hub. Ordering is anytime between Friday at noon till Tuesday at 8pm for local pickup or delivery on Thursday.
