🏡 I rarely show pictures of the inside of my house. Let's face it, I spend alot of time in the shop so my house is, well, a constant work in progress! After waiting over a year and trying to figure out what I wanted for backsplash in both the laundry room and kitchen, it's finally done! Today was a rare day that I was in the house and motivated to decorate the laundry room shelves! I wanted to share to show how old and new can work so well together. Yes, there's alot going on and yes, I hate to dust but everything on those shelves is something I love or something that holds a story or special meaning. That green book in the slender wood box, is a book my grandma gave my brother in 1973. Her handwriting is inside 💕 and of course my sister and I scribbled in it too! 🤣 Both my brother and grandma have passed now. Is there a lesson in my long winded story, yep! You do you, decorate with what YOU love and get them special things out of those boxes and totes in the back of the closet. Put them where you can see them each day to stir a memory and bring a smile to your face. 😊
