Thuraya Khatab

Thuraya received her degree in Interior Design from the University of North Texas. Her interest in art has earned her the recognition as an art consultant, collaborating in commercial art and design. With a successful ten-year international career as an interior designer in places that include Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Panama S.A., St. Martin, V.I., and Hawaii, Thuraya’s commercial portfolio consists of hotels, retail shops, banks, and a prestigious specialty hospital. Her residential projects include high-end residential homes, luxury condominiums, and waterfront apartments. Upon returning to the United States in 2003 and settling in South Florida, Thuraya founded ‘Matters of Design’, an interior design firm. The company’s portfolio includes both high-end residential and commercial projects. Thuraya Joined SmArtArt as the director of art & design in 2012.
