I'm grateful that I got to be a part of the Carter's Cottage family this past year. I enjoyed seeing some old familiar faces and meeting new friends too. I believe that everything happens for a reason and I think this is going to be a great move. Wishing all the best to Christie and Charlie.

We are sad our time has come to an end in DeKalb but excited for whats next. We are officially closed. Thank you so much for your support over this past year. It wasn’t easy, but DeKalb will always hold a special place in my heart. Stay tuned for what’s next! 💝💝💝 Christie & Charlie

Today marks a year since I closed Poppy Seed Primitives. Looking back, the closing of my shop was timed perfectly. I had to close 4 weeks earlier than originally planned but I was so lucky it worked out that way.

This past year was not at all how I expected to begin my "retirement". However, this year is looking promising. Hopefully we can get vaccinated soon so life can get back to normal and we can reschedule some of our travel plans. I have two jobs that I really enjoy and I still have free time! I help out @ Carter's Cottage where I get to do everything I love without the stress and Tucker can still be the shop dog. And I recently started with Hallmark as a retail merchandiser. I travel to different stores to stock and straighten their products. Everyday is a little different which I love. So you might see me out and about in Dekalb, Sycamore and Elburn.

I am blessed to have had my dream job for 14 years. You, my customers will always hold a special place in my heart. Hope all is well with you. Drop me a note. I would love to hear from you.❤️❤️❤️
