This fun crochet technique is called corner to corner. It looks fancy especially when you have a color changing yarn but it’s not hard. This worsted weight yarn is the new Lang Infinity. It’s so soft and machine washable !

Our Sweater Knit-A-Long starts this Thursday at 2pm. Come in and join us for a good time. See the different yarns that everyone bought for it. See below for details.

Who's up for a Sweater KAL in October; a cozy, relaxed knit just in time for Fall!
The KAL will be on Thursdays from 4pm to 6pm, starting October 2nd.
As always, you need not come in for all dates. We’re happy to have you as many times as you can make. The fun is seeing what others have picked for colors, the variations in the pattern they make and the comradery. The KAL is free; Susan will guide you while you knit your sweater. We ask that you buy the materials at the store. Call the store if you need more details, 262-646-9392. Some of the recommended yarns from Noro are Viola, Ito, Silk Garden, and Madara. In Berroco we have Lang Cloud, Millstone Tweed and Hearthside. I’m making mine in Malabrigo Rios…… in purple. Check out the photos, their names have what they were made in.

We picked the pattern “Step by Step Sweater” by Florence Miller. Check it out in Ravelry. The designer did a good job writing up the pattern. It’s clearly written and beginner friendly. It’s a simple raglan design for your first sweater but interesting enough for more advanced knitters because you can change several things to make it your own. For instance, we could figure out how to knit the sweater with a different stitch pattern.

This just in! New Piuma Alpaca Degrade by Laines du Nord is a lofty, bulky, alpaca/wool blend that is light as a cloud. This big, fluffy cowl knits up in no time and the pattern is free with purchase.
