Plein Air Exhibition Coming Soon!

The North Fork Group of The Plein Air Artists of Colorado will have an Invitational Exhibition of plein air art. The show will feature many of the works shown by The North Fork Group at The 29th Annual National Juried Fine Art Exhibition and Sale. The opening reception will be November 19th, 2026 at The Arts on Main Gallery in Delta from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. Refreshments will be served and musical entertainment will be provided by the local duo “Dr. Mary and Stray Note”.

The Exhibition will run through December 11th, 2026. The Exhibition will be a great opportunity for the community to see work by some of the best plein air artists in Western Colorado.

Great job, Heidi Varshock! Thank you for participating in our Decorative Bra Show!

🦋🎀 A little creativity, a little humor, and a whole lot of heart!

Heidi Varshock participated in the breast cancer awareness fundraiser hosted by Arts On Main in Delta, where decorated bras got some hilariously creative names! Her creation? 💕 “BREAST WISHES AND BUTTERFLY KISSES” 💕

We love seeing Heidi bring her creativity to a meaningful cause. Thank you, Arts on Main, for bringing our community together to support breast cancer awareness! 🩷

Bras will be for sale at Arts on Main and proceeds with be going towards mammograms for those in need!

Thank You to Our Publishing Your Book Panel!

A big **thank you to our wonderful panel of speakers—Denise Theobald, Jim Wetzel, and Susan Humphrey**—for sharing their knowledge and personal experiences at our *Publishing Your Book* event on Thursday, September 24th.

Although it was a rainy evening, we were delighted to welcome an audience of interested and aspiring authors. Our speakers shared valuable insights into their publishing journeys, including **commercial publishing, self-publishing, and hybrid publishing experiences**.

Thank you to everyone who braved the rain and joined us for an informative and inspiring evening!

Arts on Main presents: An evening with Dr. Jill Holaday, PhD. and Japanese Pop Art History.

Thursday, October 22, 2026 at 7:00pm

Dr. Holaday teaches a broad range of art history courses. She is passionate about engaging students through lively discussions, interactive in-class activities, and thoughtful exploration of works of art within their historical and cultural contexts. Her scholarship focuses on the postwar German artists associated with Group Zero and the broader international network of artists with whom they collaborated. Her other research interests center primarily on modern and contemporary art, while her teaching encompasses a wide range of artistic traditions, periods, and cultures, including Japanese art and nineteenth-century art. Dr. Holaday has taught art history for six years at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. She brings her enthusiasm for art, history, and cultural exchange into the classroom, encouraging students to explore art from diverse perspectives and to develop a deeper appreciation for the connections between art and the world around us. In her free time, she loves to hike around the area and take in the beauty of the Western Slope.
