A beautiful winter landscape in the soft glow of morning light. Art is in a private collection by artist

This landscape is framed in a hand-gilded saltbox profile, finished in white gold over blue bole, with natural walnut sides. The cool shimmer of the gold echoes the snowy scene. With a bit of warmth from the classic walnut. All aspects of the frame are intended to highlight and complement the painting.

This family heirloom was misplaced and forgotten for many years. After its rediscovery, our client wanted to ensure it would never be tucked away again — preserved, protected and enjoyed for generations to come.

We designed a bespoke conservation frame featuring a hand-gilded finish with a custom wood tone to complement the client’s dining room furniture. The fragile textile was carefully hand-stitched to a fabric wrapped mat and surrounded by fabric wrapped shadow box walls, creating both support and depth without compromising the piece.

Finished with Optium Museum Acrylic, the textile is protected from UV light, dust and static while offering exceptional clarity for viewing.

When our clients brought in their giclée from their all time favorite artist, “safe” wasn’t part of the conversation. The frame had to meet the same level of obsession - bold, unapologetic and a little over the top!

This is a truly unique frame! A deep, velvety purple panel was selected to echo the dark moody tones of the giclée. Along with a black bole under the 12 karat gold on the carved floral corners to add a more antique quality to the gold.

This frame holds the laurel from their wedding day, along with pressed florals from the bouquet and ceremony arch.

Every element was incredibly fragile (the kind that makes you hold your breath while working), but with a careful, experienced hand, we were able to preserve each beautiful detail.
